Perfect Purple Smokey Eye Tutorial

Woohoo! My first tutorial. This was requested by my friend Amy. After she saw my purple look, she needed to know how I did it! So here it is!

First, I primed my eye, did my brows, and then put on a base. I used the Milani Shadow Eyez pencil in Royal purple. I also applied this to my lower lash line. Make sure to blend it out so there are no harsh edges!

Next I put on a shimmery duochrome purple shade on the inner half of my lid.

Next I used MAC's Nocturnelle in the outer half and through the crease.

For the deep crease, I used a very dark, almost black purple, which I used a small pencil brush for. I also smudged it a bit on my lash line.

I used a cream colored shadow for my brow highlight. For my inner corner highlight, I used MAC's Beautiful Iris shadow. I used the duochrome shadow and Nocturnelle on the bottom lashline over the eyeshadow pencil. I tightlined and waterlined with my UD 24/7 pencil in Zero, and applied some to  my upper lash line. Then I curled my lashes and applied mascara.
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial! Let me know if you have any requests for future tutorials and I will try to do them. Thank you for reading and have a great day!

  1. I don't have any eye pencils for the first step ... would a powder shadow do? Well I do have eye liner thingies in purple. Also no clue about the small pencil brush?

    1. You can totally use the pencil you have or just use a powder shadow. I just used the pencil for added intensity. Also, you can use a qtip in place of a pencil brush. It's about the same shape. =)
