Milani Shadow Eyez Review and Swatches

Nisha, from Beauty and the Cheap, has been lusting after these pencils for a while. After hearing that I had some, she asked for a review! So here it is. I have the Milani Shadow Eyez pencils in Champagne Toast and Royal Purple. They are said to last for 12 hours, be water resistant, crease proof, and long lasting. They can be used as an eyeliner (with a liner brush) or as an eye shadow. I have not used either of these without a primer or topping them off with shadow, to be honest. I also have not tried them as liners. However, they live up to their claims in every respect that counts. They do not crease, unlike some shadow pencils *coughnyxcough*. If I put them on my hand and let them set for about 30 seconds, I can rub them as much as I please and they will not budge. They come off easily with makeup remover, though. I am very happy with these pencils and look forward to getting more colors. Now on to the photos!

First up, we have a swatch of them with no flash.
Next, we have a photo with flash. This shows off the shimmer in the purple nicely.
Thirdly, we have a photo of a second swatch that I did. This is after rubbing it quite a bit. See how well it stays? The reason I re-swatched it is because I put the first swatches on too thick and didn't blend them out, so they didn't set and they smeared.
What the product looks like.
And last, we have a closeup of the tip. Sorry, I used these before I decided to start blogging, so they aren't in perfect condition. But who cares, right?
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this post! I picked these up at CVS for $6.29. You get 2.8g. If you've been on the fence about getting these, wonder no longer! These are great products and I would definitely repurchase them! Toodle-oo!

    1. You're welcome! I'm going to try the purple one as an eyeliner soon. I'll probably use the nude shade under the metallic look that I want to do.
